STOP the CHOP - Community forum [Liv Golf Expansion Accountability] [FULL JOIN WAITLIST]
– 176 Tynte Street
This is the consultation that the State Government doesn’t want you to have! The State Government has recently passed special legislation to take over the North Adelaide Golf Course on Possum Park/Pirltawardli (Park 1) to facilitate a redevelopment of the course. This take over now means there is no requirement for the State Government to consult with the public. No accountability, no transparency, just free rein over your Park Lands. It’s time you had your say. For this forum, we have invited Government representatives and experts to explain what’s likely to happen to this Park; and invite you to ask questions and have your say. On the invitation list for the Panel are: Kaurna Elder, Tim Agius; Planning Minister, Nick Champion Lord Mayor, Jane Lomax-Smith; Member for Adelaide, Lucy Hood; Ecologist, Kathryn Hill; Golf course designer, Peter Dalkeith Scott; Executive Director, Doctors for the Environment, Dr Kate Wylie; and APA President, Sarah Russo. This forum is not just for North Adelaide or CBD residents, it’s for everyone. No matter where you live, if you Love Your Park Lands and you’re concerned about this development, this is your chance to learn more and speak up. Seating is limited, so please reserve your place by registering here. Registration is free, but needed to guarantee your spot. +++ +++ +++ UPDATE: 2 September 2025: This event is now booked out! We have reached the capacity of the North Adelaide Community Centre. What can you do if you still want to attend? You can add your name to a Humanitix WAIT LIST. If any ticket-holders cancel or return their tickets, the returned tickets will be automatically offered to those on the wait list, in the order that they joined the wait list. The other option is to view the event through a Facebook video livestream. Livestreaming will be available on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AdelaideParkLandsAssn/ |

Jobseeker Community Forum | Jobseeker Payments Need To Rise
– Clarence Park Community Centre
JOBSEEKER PAYMENTS NEED TO RISE! Join Grannies for Action and the Anti-Poverty Network SA for a powerful community forum centring the voices that matter most — people with lived experience of surviving on JobSeeker. In one of the wealthiest countries in the world, people relying on JobSeeker are being forced to live in deep poverty. This isn’t inevitable — it’s a political choice. Hear firsthand stories of what it really means to live on an income that doesn’t cover the basics. Together, we’ll unpack the reality, challenge harmful narratives, and build momentum for change. How can we allow this to continue? We can’t — and we won’t. Come along, listen, learn, and be part of collective action for a more just and fair society.
We strive to make our events as accessible as possible. Please let us know about your accessibility needs, and we will attempt to assist you. |
